The entire Willards Elementary School staff has embraced the Maryland Green School program. On October 7th, 2020 Jennifer Rice and Gerrie Wiersberg (WCBOE Science Coach/STEM) met with Willards faculty (virtually) and presented the Maryland Green School Program requirements. Judy Nicholson (Principal) listed expectations for the Green Committee. A Green School committee was formed with grade level and content area representatives. Monthly meetings are held to discuss sustainable practices and activities that support the green school initiative.
